2022 Porsche 911 GT3 Touring Package – 10 Fast Facts
4.0-Litre Engine
The heart of the 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 Touring Package is the high-revving, naturally aspirated, 4.0-litre, six-cylinder engine. It delivers maximum power of 375 kW (510 PS) at 8400 rpm and maximum torque of 470 Nm at 6,100 rpm. The maximum engine speed is 9,000 rpm.
Manual or PDK Transmission
This purist 911 GT3 is equipped as standard with a six-speed GT sports manual gearbox. For the first time, the 7-speed PDK transmission was also available with the Touring Package.
Double Wishbone Front Suspension
2022 Porsche 911 GT3 is the first Porsche street car with the double-wishbone front suspension. It makes the sports car faster and more predictable, and also at the same time improves its driveability.
Powerful Brake System
On the front axle the GT3 has aluminium monobloc fixed six piston callipers with 408 mm brake discs. The discs are now dimpled instead of cross-drilled. The result is higher material strength and more powerful braking action. At the rear axle there are 380 mm brake discs and monobloc four piston brake callipers.
Double Mixed Tyres
The front and rear axles are equipped with different wheel sizes. There are 20-inch wheels at the front and 21-inch wheels at the rear. The tyre sizes are 255/35 ZR 20 at the front and 315/30 ZR 21 at the rear.
Rear-Axle Steering
The 911 GT3 comes with the rear-axle steering as standard. It ensures more direct turn-in behaviour when steering into bends in lower speeds, but also increases cornering stability at higher speeds.
Automatically Extending Rear Spoiler
The most visible difference compared to the GT3 is the lack of a fixed rear wing. The necessary downforce at high speeds and even more understatement are guaranteed by an automatically extending rear spoiler.
Sport Exhaust
With electrically operated continuously adjustable exhaust flaps, the sport exhaust system delivers a highly evocative sound experience. The lightweight sports exhaust system reduces weight by 10 kg.
Lightweight Sports Car
Despite a wider body, larger wheels and additional technical features, the weight of the GT3 is just 1,418 kg with the manual transmission and 1,435 kg with the PDK.
How Fast is It?
How fast is the 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 Touring Package? With the six-speed manual transmission, the GT3 Touring Package can sprint form zero to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and hit 200 km/h in 11.9 seconds. Top speed is 320 km/h. With the PDK, the same acceleration takes just 3.4 seconds to reach 100 km/h and 10.8 seconds to reach 200 km/h. With the PDK, the top speed is 318 km/h.
