2.5-Litre Engine

2018 Porsche 718 Cayman GTS is powered by a 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder, turbocharged engine with direct fuel injection, enhanced VarioCam Plus and integrated dry-sump lubrication. It delivers a maximum power of 269 kW (365 hp) at 6500 rpm. The maximum torque is 420 Nm with a manual transmission, and 430 Nm with a PDK transmission.

Choose Between a 6-Speed Manual…

The 718 Cayman GTS model comes as standard with a smoothshifting 6-speed manual transmission. With short shift throws, it provides very sporty and engaging driving experience.

…And a PDK Transmission

Optionally, the 718 Cayman GTS is available with the PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung) transmission, which helps to ensure extremely fast gear changes with no interruption in the flow of power. In addition to the fully automatic mode, the PDK also features a manual mode.

Porsche Active Sport Suspension

GTS comes as standard with the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). It continuously adjusts the damping force on each wheel based on the road conditions. Together with the Cayman’s lightweight chassis, it provides precise and agile handling. The GTS sits 10 mm closer to the ground than the Cayman S. The PASM sport suspension, which is available as an option, lowers the car another 10 mm, and includes harder springs and stiffer anti-roll bars.

Porsche Torque Vectoring

Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) system enhances car’s performance when driving through corners. With the improved agility and stability, the driver gets to enjoy more precise steering.

Sport Chrono Package

The Sport Chrono Package enables a sportier tuning of the chassis, engine and transmission. With the mode button on the sports steering, the driver can choose between the Normal, Sport, Sport Plus and Individual driving programmes. In Sport mode, the engine responds more directly and the PDK is set up for shorter response times. The Sport Chrono Package includes also the Launch Control function. With the PDK transmission, the Launch Control can deliver a racing like start.

Sport Exhaust System

The standard sport exhaust system features centrally positioned twin tailpipes in stainless steel, finished in high-gloss black. Thanks to the exhaust flap control, the powerful sound of the mid-mounted engine becomes even more intense with a push of a button

Braking Power

The GTS models are equipped with four-piston aluminum monobloc fixed brake calipers with 330 mm front and 299 mm rear brake discs. Brake calipers are finished in red. The brake discs are cross-drilled and internally vented to provide improved wet braking and optimum cooling. The Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system, with yellow painted calipers, is available as an option.

20″ Wheels

GTS comes as standard with a 20″ wheels, the same ones used in the Porsche 911 Carrera S. The wheels are fitted with 235/35 ZR20 front and 265/35 ZR20 rear tyres.

How Fast is It?

With the manual transmission, the 2018 Porsche 718 Cayman GTS can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. With the PDK transmission and the launch control, the car is even faster. It can sprint to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. The top speed of the GTS is 290 km/h.
