Six-Cylinder Boxer Engine

Carrera S is powered by 3.8-litre six-cylinder, water-cooled boxer engine with four overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder. The engine block and cylinder heads are made of aluminium.

355 Horsepower

The 3.8-lire engine delivers maximum output of 216 kW (355 bhp) at 6,600 rpm and 400 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm.

6-speed Manual Gearbox

Tiptronic S

The Tiptronic S with five drive modes was optionally available for the 911 Carrera S. In automatic mode, Tiptronic S selects one of the five patterns to match the driving style. In manual mode, driver can change gears by hand using rocker controls on the steering wheel.

Porsche Active Suspension Management

Carrera S comes as standard with the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). PASM is an active damping system which automatically adapts to changing road conditions and individual driving styles. The ride height of the Carrera S is 10 mm (0.39 inches) lower compared to the 911 Carrera.

Sporty Soundtrack

911 models are equipped with a lighweight stainless-steel exhaust system. Sport exhaust system with four exhaust pipes was available as an option.

Braking Power

The four-piston aluminum monobloc calipers with perforated and internally ventilated brake discs at all four corners provide braking power.

Optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes

Even more powerful Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) were available as an option. PCCD brakes can be identified by the yellow brake calipers.

19-Inch Wheels

Carrera S is equipped with sporty 19-inch wheels with 235/35 ZR 19 front and 295/30 ZR 19 rear tyres.
