Take a Look – 2005 Porsche 911 Carrera Exterior
Porsche unveiled the sixth generation Porsche 911 in 2004. The first models of the 997-generation were the 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera S. Let’s take a look at the 2005 Porsche 911 Carrera Exterior.
2005 Porsche 911 Carrera Exterior
First you notice the oval headlights, which from a distance look virtually circular. This immediately gives the car it’s classic 911 look. In addition to the headlights, other lights such as the parking lights, fog lights and indicators are integrated into the unit behind a clear plastic disc, which gave the entire front of the vehicle a clearly structured and sporty appearance.
The striking double-arm exterior mirrors have been carefully shaped and positioned to minimize aerodynamic drag. Derived from the Porsche Carrera GT supercar, the side mirrors are also heated and electrically adjustable with optional automatic dimming to prevent distractions when driving in the dark. Other striking features of the 997-generation 911 are the wide fenders and a more aerodynamic rear spoiler.
The 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera S differ in their wheel and brake specifications. The 911 Carrera comes with 18-inch wheels, while the 911 Carrera S is equipped with larger 19-inch rims. The former features four-piston brake calipers with a black anodized finish, while the 911 Carrera S is immediately recognizable by its red-painted calipers and larger, cross-drilled brake discs. The 911 Carrera S can also be recognized by its twin tailpipes.
Yep, it looks cool, doesn’t it!
